More about deer antlers

And since shed antlers are picked off the ground, no harm is done to obtain them!

Deer (or elk, moose etc.) antlers have long been used to embellish tools and weapons.

Horns and antlers can sometimes be confused.

Without entering into too much detail, the following is of interest.

•    Horn is made of keratin, the same as nails or feathers and is found on males and females from the Bovinae and Caprinae (cattle, goats, sheep...).

•    Antlers are bone growth worn by the Cervidae (deer family), mostly on the head and mostly by males. Unlike bovine or caprine horns, antlers fall off after the mating season and a new pair grows annually. - That is why we use deer antlers.

By choosing an antler handle, you're sure to get a knife with excellent handling that will serve in the toughest conditions. It is robust and guarantees you faultless intensive usage.
